- "Come, Lord Jesus!" groups meet on Tuesdays at 5:00pm and Thursdays at 10:00am in the Church Hall. For more information, call the Church Office (337/668-4413). Everyone is invited to attend!
- 2025 Bishop's Services Appeal (BSA) Payment Methods: Check payable to BSA and mail to "Diocese of Lafayette, Office of Stewardship and Development 1408 Carmel Drive, Lafayette, LA 70501-9907. - The 2026 Mass Book is now open. Please come by the Church Office, at your earliest convenience, to set up your Mass Intentions for the 2026 year or an upcoming month. 2026 Sanctuary Lamp dates may also be scheduled at this time. Please follow the Office hours that are printed on the front of the bulletin. You may call the Office at 337/668-4413, with any questions.
- The 2025 Safe Environment Continuing Training is now available online. If you have already completed the Initial Training, log into virtusonline.org. Your new training is found under “Current Training”. If you do not remember your log-in information, please contact the VIRTUS Online Help Desk at 1-888-847-8870, for assistance. Please email/call the Church Office after completing online Continuing Training, so that we can print your certificate.
- St. John Berchmans' Choir is looking for new members. If you are interested, please join them at 9:00am on Sundays in the choir loft or call Judy Broussard at 337/278-9710.
- Our next Religion Class will be on Sunday, December 14th, for grades 1-9. Grades 1,2,3,4,5,6 (11:00-1:00pm) and Grades 7,8,9 (3:00-5:00pm).
- Due to weather delays and labor and construction material shortages, along with shipping holdups, American Cemetery Consultants has informed us that the start of construction of our new mausoleum addition has been delayed until March 2026. Spaces, with financing, are still available in the new addition. If you are interested, please contact the Church Office at 337/668-4413.
- St. John Berchmans will be collecting toiletries for our shut-ins and local Nursing Homes through December 14th. Donations such as hand soap, lotion, power, socks, etc. are being accepted. Gift bags are also appreciated. A box will be placed in the back of Church for those wishing to donate items.
- Advent Service Project--Beginning the weekend of November 29th and 20th (First Sunday of Advent), we are asking parishioners to bring a new, unwrapped toy, to put in a decorated box in Church. The toys will be donated to Cankton Elementary School and local charities for distribution to needy children at Christmas. Deadline to donate is Sunday, December 14th!
- Fr. Manny Fernandez will hold an Advent Healing Service at St. John Berchmans Church on Tuesday, December 16th, after the 5:30pm Mass (presider will be Fr. Manny). Everyone is invited to attend! Please note: There will be no 12:15pm Mass on Tuesday, December 16th.
- The 2026 Offertory Envelopes are located on the table in the back of the Church. Please note: Your envelope number may have changed. Please make sure your name is on the box that you pick up. Thank you!
- The Health Buggy Bus will be in our Church Parking Lot on Friday, November 28th, from 8:15am to 11:00am.
- The Light is On For You--Wednesday, December 17th, from 6:00-7:00pm, St. John Berchmans and all the parishes of the Diocese of Lafayette will be open for individual confession. Please make plans to come on Advent Wednesdays and spread the word of this special outreach of mercy to those you know.
- The Church Office will be closed from Wednesday, December 24th through Friday, January 2nd, in observance of the Christmas and New Year's holidays. We will reopen on Monday, January 5th, at 8:00am. If you need to reach Fr. Ken or one of the Staff, please leave a message and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
- Reminder to KC members of their scheduled meeting in the Church Hall this Sunday, December 14th, at 6:00pm, with rosary at 5:30pm.
