- "Come, Lord Jesus!" groups meet on Tuesdays at 4:30pm and Thursdays at 10:00am in the Church Hall. For more information, call the Church Office (337/668-4413). Everyone is invited to attend!
- 2024 Bishop's Services Appeal (BSA) Payment Methods: Check payable to BSA and mail to "Diocese of Lafayette, Office of Stewardship and Development 1408 Carmel Drive, Lafayette, LA 70501-9907. - The 2025 Mass Book is now open. Please come by the Church Office, at your earliest convenience, to set up your Mass Intentions for the 2025 year or an upcoming month. 2025 Sanctuary Lamp dates may also be scheduled at this time. Please follow the Office hours that are printed on the front of the bulletin. You may call the Office at 337/668-4413, with any questions.
- The 2024 Safe Environment Continuing Training is now available online. If you have already completed the Initial Training, log into virtusonline.org. Your new training is found under “Current Training”. If you do not remember your log-in information, please contact the VIRTUS Online Help Desk at 1-888-847-8870, for assistance. Please email/call the Church Office after completing online Continuing Training, so that we can print your certificate.
- St. John Berchmans Choir is looking for new members. If you are interested, please join them at 9:00am on Sundays in the choir loft or call Judy Broussard at 337/278-9710.
- January Religious Education Class Dates: Grades 2, 7, 8, 9, 10 -- January 19, 2025; Grades 1, 3, 4,
- Advent Service Project--Beginning the weekend of November 30th and December 1st (First Sunday of Advent), we are asking parishioners to bring a new, unwrapped toy, to put in a decorated box in Church. The toys will be donated to Cankton Elementary School and local charities for distribution to needy children at Christmas. Deadline to donate is December 15th!
- The 2025 Offertory Envelopes are located on the table in the back of the church. Please note: Your envelope number may have changed. Please make sure your name is on the box that you pick up. Thank you!
- St. John Berchmans will be collecting toiletries for our shut-ins and local Nursing Homes through December 15th. Donations such as hand soap, lotion, powder, socks, etc. are being accepted. Gift bags are also appreciated. A box will be placed in the back of Church for those wishing to donate items.
- The Light is On for You--On three Wednesdays in Advent, December 11, and 18, from 6:30-8:00pm, St. John Berchmans and all the parishes of the Diocese of Lafayette will be open for individual confession. Please make plans to come on Advent Wednesdays and spread the word of this special outreach of mercy to those you know.
- St. John Berchmans Advent Mission presented by Deacon Randy Hyde, will be held on Monday and Tuesday, December 16th and 17th, beginning at 6:00pm each evening. Deacon Randy will be at all Masses on December 14th and 15th to give an overview of the Mission. Please make every effort to attend.
- St. John Berchmans Church Office will be closed Monday, December 23rd, through Friday, January 3rd, in observance of the Christmas and New Year's holidays. We will reopen on Monday, January 6th, at 8:00am. If you need to reach Fr. Ken or one of the Staff, please call 337/668-4413, and leave a message. We will be in the Office intermittently to check messages, and someone will return your call as soon as possible. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
